Spawning mops are easily made form synthetic yarn found in many craft 
stores. The color is your preference (or the fishes). You can make the mops 
to be as many strands as you like. simply use a book to wrap the strands 
around a book and then tie it off when you have it as you want. 50 times 
around the book will give you 100 strands when you cut one end of the 
windings.
