[Killietalk] largeshop/hatchery water changes
I don't know if this is common for all stores, but there are four stores in
my area and only one does water changes. The other three do what they call
a daily 10% ..... they withdraw enough water when catching fish and selling
them that at the end of the day the water level is down 2 inches and they
have to top off the tanks (really sumps). They also have the system divided
into 500 gallon sections to limit problems (one just had a pump go bad so he
shifted the fish into other tanks and waited for the replacement pump to
arrive).
Something to chew on,
