  I have two major interests, killifish and historical research.
  When I first stumbled into the research hobby, the very first fellow
researcher I ran across warned me about a famous writer in this hobby, lets
call him AB, as having the similar characteristics as Mr. Axlerod.  I was
shocked as I owned several of his books and thought him to be a great
researcher.  It turned out the tipster was right, most researchers disavow
the man.  But he still has the ear of the big publishers and keeps on
putting out the volumes
Makes me wonder how many more AB's are out there in the other areas.
