Hi MIke,

I am familiar with Romer's paper and it is certainly true for my apistos.

I remember reading a paper a few years ago where they were talking 
about sex ratios and they gave examples of different species of fish 
that had very different triggers which affected the sex ratios. 
Temperature and pH were the two that i remember but there was a third 
environmental one they mentioned that skewed the ratios in a 
particular species (maybe it was hardness).
