Re: [Killietalk] Fp. mirabile moensis Bator

Monty,

I was actually one of the people bidding on them. Maybe Fp. mirabilis is a
case of an easy fish being available everywhere then disappearing because
they are easy? Not the population you have in particular, as it doesn't ring
a bell with me, but with mirabilis in general.

Keep 'em breeding!

Keith

  Hi Keith,

You asked about mirabiles in the hobby.
I recently started raising Fp. mirabile
moensis Bator. Is shows very poorly in
a bag, but in a planted tank it is stunning!
I am raising it in a heavily planted tank of
java moss and a few floating plants. I get
lots of fry, but a preponderence of females.

I sent two very young pairs to the Wisconsin
show and I was surprised when both pairs brought
more than $30 per pair. Obviously someone
appreciates them and knows they look georgeous
  in a tank!

I hope to have more pairs for sale in the
  2008 convention fishroom!

                 Best Regards,

                Monty Lehmann
