[Killietalk] COLDwater species
Ok, I am starting to get a bit of "killifish withdrawals" as the
fishtanks are going down so I have an idea for an easy short term
project. ARe their any coldwater, annual killifish that will grow/be
happy at temps of around 40 degrees or so? I think bellotii is one.
Wouldn't mind if they had to be started indoors. I tried raising some
nigripinnis outdoors in a pond in this manner but while they did
survive they did not grow. I brought in a female that must have been 4
months old and she grew to adult size and started laying eggs for me
after being less than 1 cm during the winter. Preferably something
that will produce eggs so I can distribute them during March/April and
before it gets too warm here for them to be happy.
Thanks!
