Re: [Killietalk] N. kafuensis Kayuni
Here we go again; The scientists saying selective breeding ( another word
for the dreaded inbreeding) is wrong ,so they don't practice it ( reduces
the gene pool) while telling the aquarist who knows it works and has the
fish ( many) to prove it : somehow crossed species. What they are saying
is Karl is a liar and unable to produce this color killie because it
shouldn't and couldn't be done because that's the way they were trained (
educated).
Certain aquarists ARE able to work with a single specie for ten
years ( an excellent accomplishment in and of itself) and improve it to
such an extent that it can appear to be a cross. I never even met (
talked for an extended period) Karl but his reputation is that he doesn't
lie and loves Nothos.
