[Killietalk] New to killies!
Hi Keith,
Thanks for the reply.
I opted to go for individual tanks, after seeing the setup of a killie keeper here in Malta.
The benefits are greater than having a seperated large tank;
Less spread of diseases, killifish from different regions need different water parameters,
if a filter breaks down .. only one tank will be effected, etc.
The setup I saw consisted of a top 4 ft tank, under 4 x 1ft breeding tanks and the two bottom rows having
2 x 2ft tanks each for rearing the fry. (width and height being of 1ft in every case)
Do you think that the breeding tanks would be too large for killies (they would be holding approx 27ltrs.
each)?
