Re: [Killietalk] Water problems
David,
I've been thinking along the same lines here in NW Georgia, what to do to
cut back, yet still maintain the livestock. I'll be very interested in
suggetions from the group on how to recycle my tank water and make it safe
to use over again!
I'm thinking along the lines of setting up a 55gallon tank, with a couple of
dividers, floss and carbon in one, lots of floating plants etc in two, and
compartment 3 would be the pump out. Hypersorb from Seachem has extended my
safe zone between water changes, not a cure all, but might put that in
compartment one as well.
Or, salt all the drained water, and run it through carbon and a skimmer,
then through filter to remove the salts?
Karen
