Re: [Killietalk] Anyone growing houseplants in the fishroom?
I saw a staghorn fern a few years back at a local nursery that easily
weighed 200 lbs. They grow pretty slow, though.

I'm not really into houseplants but I recently cop'd one of these:
http://www.roanoke.edu/biology/images/Staghornfern2.jpg
Saw one about 15yrs ago, but never since, that is until yesterday ($6 at
Sears for Pete's sake)...figured since it likes not be watered too much and
high humidity, it would be perfect for my neglectful habits and my fishrooms
basement window...
...also got a combo xmas, easter, thanksgiving cactus that will only bloom
if left in my cold-a*s'd fishroom (one precious piece dates back to the
1800's)
I have read past post of folks growing cutting on top of the aquariums, and
I'm thinking about that also...I got some harder to find pothos, monstera
and philodendrons that have lived in water for 4-5yrs...they probably would
do even better in soe nasty fish tanks :-)
