Re: [Killietalk] Blue Gularis incubation

I have observed many times the frustration of trying to get Blue Gularis to reproduce. In 1970, I had high hopes of financing my kids' education with over 1000 eggs of Blue Gularis collected -- that never hatched. Later I found that the same pair was more productive of viable eggs if I diluted the water with 50% rain water. Now I have a pair that does not lay eggs. They are fat and eating like pigs â black worms, tubifex worms, prepared foods of several kinds, but no eggs. Time to try the rain water again.
