Gary,

I got word that the show wasn't to be photographed, as the fish were in
bare tanks with no hiding places and flash would frighten them. I had
hauled my big new DSLR (Canon 5D -- full frame] and two flash adapters,
one TTL and one slave, plus all kinds of lighting reflectors, etc.,
hoping for some great shots of some unusual species.

When I got the word, I left them in my room, and didn't take a single
picture. Others may have done the same.

The bad news is I got no pictures. The good news is that I had a lot
more time to schmooze and enjoy the local brews. Oh well. My gain, your
loss! :-)

PS. Despite United sending my bag to Imperial instead of Inyokern, I
finally arrived home this evening with 40 live killifish and 8 Galaxy
Barbs. [The latter kindly obtained for me by the guys from Minneapolis.]

PPS. Did I mention how much fun I had. Thanks to WAKO (and particularly
Gis) for a wonderful experience.
