Re: [Killietalk] Acriflavine - how much? what concentration?

And I just have to had to add the hatching formula/ hatching solution that's
worked for me over the years.
:One gallon of fresh tap water, ph 7.5
:Ten drops Methylene Blue
:Five drops Aquarisol
:One Teaspoon salt
note: This formula is for has worked very well for me, however, it does tend
to fade in direct light, and over time, becomes less effective if not fresh.

Hi Guys, I've got to put my $.02 in. For me (Ph7,very,very soft) ,2
drops per gallon is right. 3 drops per seems to retard ( really lengthen)
the hatching time. My idea is to work ahead but when I draw from this
gallon it is at 100 % capacity of dissolved air ( oxygen) because of the
constant aeration ( airstone). Boy does the old saying "cleanliness is
next to godliness" come into play when working with water incubated eggs.
We ALL call it "fungus" but it really is bacteria that is attacking the
eggs and to use "tank water" is ludicrous ( not the most efficient way to
go). Sincerely, Fred Behrmann
