Re: [Killietalk] Non-Live Fish Foods
I agree with this. I've been using both NLS growth and cyclopse eeze, not just with my killies, but also to help condition my bettas, rainbows and dwarf cichlids. I also feed different combinations of ken's flakes to all my fish. My killies in particular get a combination of Kens Premium Plankton/Krill/Spirulina Flakes and Kens Premium Earthworm Flake. While the Ken's foods will cause your fish to produce some interestingly colored poop I've not seen any bad effects from it. I've also had wild caught fish readily accept the food without difficulty. I buy these foods by the 1/2 pound and then split, combine, and break them up/crush them according to the different species I maintain. Since the food has no preservatives I keep it in containers in a mini freezer in my fishroom.
I feed live foods as well, all depending on the species and what they seem to prefer. My fish have quite a varied diet alltogether, but their all fat and happy and producing well.

All juveniles/adults are eating exclusively with this pellets. The problem with NLS is that if not careful (eg. over feeding), it could possibly pollute the water as it is very nutrient rich. For more eggs production, I just feed them more with frozen bloodworms and/or pellets. I have been feeding this pellet for the past 2 years. I've not feed any live food to my killifish.
