[Killietalk] Killietalk Digest - ultimate cheap labels

I use J-bead plastic molding, the 1/2" stuff. You can get it at Home Depot,
Lowe's or a variety of home supply stores. Using a pipe shear I cut off 1
1/2, 2 or 2 1/2" pieces and write on the large side and hang it on the edge
of the tank. With the 2.5 gallon Lustar tanks it fits just right, it also
works on the lip of almost all Rubbermaid products. For most 10 gallon
tanks, if you trim the small side (cut off maybe a quarter of an inch with a
pair of scissors, you can get it to lay flat. I write on these labels with a
pencil and either erase or sand the surface clean with 200 grit sandpaper.
You can easily move the label from container to container. If you are really
desparate you can apply a label to the plastic.

I use permanent plastic labels that I used back when floppies were still in
use for computers. They were for 3.5 inch disks and depending on how much
room I want I use 1 or part of 1 on the glass or the frame of the tank. I
use a sharpie to write on them and a mars plastic eraser to erase them.
They last a very long time and withstands washing pretty well.
Write-once labels I purchase them from Micro Center but they sell them on the
internet as well. Last time I bought them they were about $4.50 for
