Re: [Killietalk] Killietalk Digest, Vol 51, Issue 4

Hi Al et all,

I used to use permanent marker, problem is that some will actually craze plastics. And using a scouring pad on plastics is never a good thing.

Oh and fingernail polish is excellent for removing. Old sticky glue as well as permanent inks. NOT for use on plastics as it tends to dissolve some plastics. Another thing I use is GOO Gone. it is an Orange oil extract. Works nice on glass not brave enough to try it on plastics. OH Goo Gone will also remove Crayon from bedroom walls. Gotta love lil girls HA HA!!! "I lov dadd" just does not have the same effect on walls as it does on paper.

We used to use mylar drafting sheets. WORKED well as water cannot damage it in any way. Unfortunately, they do not really adhere. Worked great for tanks that had frames as you could wedge them down in.

Oh the painters tape is about $3 at wal mart. and will make about 840 1 inch labels.
Still need a ultra fine point permanent marker.

I really like the idea of adding a label to the tape. that would be incredibly practical in using the digital prouced labels. No headache of them sticking permanently. because they are not in contact with the tank itself only the painters tape.

Pretty cool you learn one thing tell it to others and you learn 3 more adaptations of the idea!!!

God Bless, Lee <><
