Re: [Killietalk] AKA's BNL publication

Hi Tom de gm6ofo

As you say e-mail is the way to go , even being out in the sticks it`s still interesting to know what`s going on.
As to ever using the E&F at this distance for fish not really an option but it`s worth the extra trouble involved with regards to eggs as the are species kept on your side of the pond that never or rarely appear in Europe.
i have no objection to receiving both versions , but for the extra expense involved in posting the paper version to the UK.
I notice that Tom has mentioned that as from October only the E version will be sent to signer uppers , makes sense that way.

73`s de gm6ofo (that will get them wondering)

Well international mail has never been particularly fast. That's the advantage of e-mail.

I remember when I was membership chair and mailing was done out of Cincinnati (way back in the early eighties) we used to ship a box of BNL's or JAKA's to a person on the Canadian border who then remailed them to Canadian members to cut the time.

I don't know about the rest of the world, but Canada (at least back then) wasn't in any particular hurry to forward mail originating in the US. I think things may have gotten worse since 9-11.
