Re: [Killietalk] Feeding Grindalls
....of all the foods I've tried, cheapo fish flake does seem to yield the
most worms for the cost & effort...besides, the leftover food (uneaten
flakes) from rinsing the worms off that glass seems to be less
troublesome...
...and as a "side effect", seems to be less deformed/nutritionally deficient
fry or "pudgy" adults (vs. "grain"/starch type foods)....
Besides; sure kitten chow works, but 20% = hard un-eaten "granules" that end
up in the worm culture or fish tank <eventually> (besides, I'm lazy, so
feeding flakes = longer culture life; for me anyway)

Subject: [Killietalk] Feeding Grindalls
OK, so at the convention I'm finally able to get my starter culture of
Grindalls (weather has zapped every culture I've received through the mail!)
I go to the JAKA article on raising Grindalls, and it has everything you
would possibly want to know except WHAT to feed them.
I've tried a few things and they do seem to eat just about anything (flake
food, oatmeal) but what do you find is the best food to produce mass
quantities?
Edd
