[Killietalk] Pond Report

While at the last convention I was able to get a pair of Aphanius danfordii soysalii. When I got them home I put them in my small 55 gal pond we have in the back yard. It is a shady location and it is mainly for the birds to have a drinkin and bathing spot in the yard. I made a couple of small pools from concrete so the water cascades down into the pool. Any way I have been netting some Aphanius fry out the last couple of days. 12 so far of various sizes. They are difficult to get out with the plants I have in there. My goal is to see if they will winter over in the pool. I use a small heater to keep the water open for the birds thru the winter. Will continue to net out fry as I can.
