I believe I may not have sent this message clearly enough. Sodium thiosulfate 
will effectively remove cchlorine and chloramine. The OTO Chlorine test 
solution will test for both chlorine and chloramine. I use two methods for removing 
chlorine/choramine -- sodium thiosulfate for batch manual water changes and 
carbon adsorption for automatic in line water changes. Neither method is 
foolproof unless you test. I first killed fish with normal pet store dechlorinators 
before the advent of chloramine when the water company raised the level of 
chlorine to 5 ppm and the normal drop per gallon of dechlor was insufficient.
