Chloramine , at the concentration (2-3PPM) I experienced in Jersey would
almost certainly have killed your fish. When the water company (without
notification) switched around 1980 from chlorine to chloramine, I lost an
entire tank of juvenile L. compressiceps after a 30% water change. An angry
article appeared in the local paper several days later detailing several
similar horror stories. That is when I started using AmQuel.
