[Killietalk] Thiosulfate de-chloroamine

I do advertise Thiosulfate by the 1/2 pound in
the BNL and if you need more I have it, just ask.
I make up a 2 times the usual concentration
Chlorine test reagent for those who want to know
their changing water is Chlorine FREE. (thanks
for the plug Lee)

Here in St Louis the tap water runs about 0.8 to
1.2 ppm Chlorine and Ammonia (NH4) at about 0.5
ppm for Chloroamine.

I change around 80 to 95% of the water in each of
my tanks once every week to 10 days. With the new
fish room I am up to around 200 gallons a week
with practically complete changes in all the
major Killie tanks. I have tried the partial
water changes but the pH slowly drops to values
below 6 and the fish dont produce or grow well,
so I have stuck with the complete changes.
Thiosulfate is and always has been my stand by
for Chlorine removal. I am able to use a carbon
filter at work but only for my community tanks.

Again, I recommend testing for Chlorine in change
water and I have the kits. The info was in the
July BNL and will be in the Sept BNL.

I still have a bunch of the Galaxy rasboras
spawned and raised in St L tap water. The N'tui
have about balanced out and the BIV Zagnanado are
out growing my BBS. The Epiplatys lamottei are
out growing their 35 and looking for new homes.
The N. whitei need new homes and I have 3 new
hatchings of Fp. avichang that are available.

There are pairs of riggenbachi available as well
as a new RIV - uroflammeus siegfriedi (Now
that's a beautiful ugly brown fish) I have
pictures. and 2 - 10s of Ep. annulatus
I do owe some fish to some who have requested and
am waiting for the weather to cool to ship. The
RIVs are doing well.

Inquiries off the list please.
