It's not the same.  It was developed by the same guy and is essentially an updated version that combines the best of Amquel and Novaqua into a single formula.  Based on what I've heard, Kordon has screwed around with the formulation of Amquel and Novaqua and my experiences with the Amquel + have been awful.  I find Ultimate to be the only product that allows me to keep live fish in my water.  All my goofy losses stopped as soon as I switched to Ultimate.

sold by JEHMCO is in fact the same formulation as the OLD Kordon Product
