Re: [Killietalk] Heat losses

Ken,
In a hot fishroom, there are killies you can't keep without
air-conditioning. It's an expense, but it's as essential as heat in winter.
I set my fishroom at 24c, and while my cool temp fish don't breed, they
survive. If I go any higher, I lose fish quickly. The (newish) room ranges
from 19 to 24 over the year, but would be above 30 if I weren't cooling it.

Uh changing the subject...
Is it just my un-insulated basement and the high 80's or is anyone else
loosing austolebias and the like in this heat?...I'm blasting the air,
changing water, and growing plants, but seems there is a upper limit no
matter what...(top rack was 88F yesterday, I'm afraid to go down there
today)

(and BTW, I've already proven the fatal low temp for most killies, and that
seems to be 55F...arrgh)
