[Killietalk] Sudden death or resurrection?

Recently I have had 3 different species of fish appear to be dead.   
They are usually seen floating on the bottom of the tank upside  
down.  The usual attempt to resuscitate the fish does nothing.  In  
one case I could see almost unperceptible movements of the gill  
plates.  Placement of the fish in extremely salty water results in a  
miraculous revival to complete health within a matter of a few  
hours.  It appears as if the fish suddenly goes into a coma relieved  
by salt.  What's happening.  This has occurred in different tanks and  
with different species of fish.  All the other fish in the same tank  
appear perfectly healthy.
