Re: [Killietalk] Calling customer Service:
Hi Ken (and all),
I would guess the most likely reason for failure of eggs from the Ep. bifasciatus is that they are too cool. Bifasciatus is one of those Epis that is found in fairly warm water. Mine bred at room temp, but that was in the summer, probably up between 76 and 78. My guess is that 80 should be enough to get 'em going, and they can probably take much higher than that.
Hope that helps,
Gary

I got E.singa, E.sexfaciatus, E.inf. "Bidou" & "Mile 11" all laying (there
are like 20 hungry adults in the singa tank, and still fry "seem"
untouched!!!...odd)
But: E.Lamottei, E.bifaciatus & E.huberi eat like pigs, live in the same
water but nary an egg (140ppm, 72-75F)...any "particulars" appreciated (on
or offlist)
