[Killietalk] teenage mutant bivittatum
Hello,
A few years ago, I had a mutant Aphyosemion poliaki male appear among my fry. It was a yellow gold fish with dark blue eyes and blue fins -very striking and pretty. The fins stayed shorter than its brothers, but it was otherwise normal, other than colour. I tried to breed it out of curiosity (not for distribution) but it seemed sterile. It lived for three years and I lost it when I moved, with nothing but photos to prove it.
I just spotted another, in with my F-3 Aphyosemion bivittatum Oban Hills juveniles. The fish is only half grown, but it appears to have the same basic patterning as the poliaki did. Is this something other Chromaphyosemion keepers have encountered?
