Re: [Killietalk] response II

Pardon me, Mike...I mistakenly assumed your text stopped a paragraph
short...I didn't realize you had a host of things to say regarding the new
vs. old issue (if there is a division)

Consider:
-What you see as newcomers wanting instant gratification; I see as
potentially exclusionary, who's to say there are not 2,3,4000 "potential
members" that haven't joined BECAUSE of the current "snails paced" system?

..Again, we all have a COMMON love of fish (killies in particular) it's not
as if some terrorist/fundamentalist are trying to join the Boy Scouts

-What you see as "submissions through proper channels" as see as a
opportunity for individual bias & agenda to perpetuate through masked ideas
(nice, someone submits a great idea, but who would know, because only a
selected/elected few have the power for it to be known)...it's the old
"suggestion box" mentality...

-You can't view new ideas/people as displacing the old...joining an org is
just that...what are we doing joining the club if one does not want to
contribute or change it for the better? In your mind, we either do things
"as-is" or we are dissenters hell bent on destroying what was built...why
can't we instead be "building on" or improving what is there?

-and finally, the argument against change "because it's too fast" is pure
illogic...change happens when external forces dictate a survival
adaptation...I'm simply seeing that perhaps the ice age is over and perhaps
the ways of the slow moving "mega fauna" may be headed for
extinction...who's to say this 700-800 majority you speak of are either
simply silent or all slow moving mastodons?

And By the Way Mike, how are those moema quiii I sent you doing? I never got
word they arrived, or at least a thank you or anything? Since I'm such a
money grubbing electronic club terrorist?
