[Killietalk] Blue Gularis ,,,, eggs problem.

Nick,

I do have the same problem with eggs as you do.

My tap water is very hard too, around 380 ppm and sometimes in winter goes over 600 ppm.

I tried remove a whole bottom mop and leave it in plastic bag ,,,,, was around 40 eggs, no one survived.

I tried leave the pair to spawn on peat ,,,, I removed the peat ,, dried ,, and after 60 days no one hatched, I searched for eggs and no eggs found.

I tried leave the pair spawn over a bottom mop and remove the eggs , put the eggs on sphagnum more the 100 and after 60 days ,,,, 6 hatched.

I tried remove the eggs and put on peat ,,,,, no one hatched.

I tried put the eggs in water, and again no one hatched,,, all goes bad.

And after a year or so ,,, my last batch only 3 hatched.

I really do not know how to set a pair to have a good batch.

If you got some good batch, please let me know.

 Best regards,
 Luiz
