Okay, now that I'm thinking about it, I don't think that boiling/microwaving
peat before using it does anything to help with bacteria because they will
just be re-introduced while in the spawning tank.  The sterilizing will kill
remaining eggs from previous use.  Has anyone tried sterilizing the peat
chemically AFTER the eggs have been laid?
