Re: [Killietalk] Convention, fly control

My reference to using mothballs was specifically related to grindal
worms too. Note that I only leave them in until the flies are gone then
remove them. I never agree with my fellow veterinarian, Dr. Dan, either,
but my memory is that those yellow strips made for getting rid of flies
and other insects are organophosphate, which is a potent poison too. All
I can say is that I have used paradichlorbenzene (specifically) and have
not noticed adverse affects on the worms or on the fish I feed them to.
I also should say that I always rinse my worms a couple of times,
mothballs or not.

Regarding Dan's troubles registering, if he got to the credit card stage
he had got to the point where he was on the Paypal site. The AKA site
does not collect credit card information. Direct all complaints to
Paypal. :-) Seriously, lots of people have registered so far with very
few complaints. A few people have misunderstood the registration
discount for number of meals ordered. I have now added More Info links
to each item, which will pop up a window with a detailed explanation for
each option. Hopefully that will help.
