It's tough in the timeframe between starting college and starting a home to 
keep it up in the killies.  Once the kids arrive then it is another delay. 
The interest does somehow hibernate or lie dormant until they grow up and 
out of the house then the fish come back into the picture. Thus the skewed 
membership in the hobby is probably here to stay.
