Re: [Killietalk] Shows and new members
It is mostly the new friends and contact information and caring support that
makes the new members and new hobbyists get into killifish. The
organizations provide a source for more contacts and shows provide a means
for physically meeting these people. I think a lot of the new attendance
needs to come first from making the friends and getting them interested
enough to travel to the meetings. Few new hobbyists will drive over 10
miles to go to a show of unknown outcome, but if you get someone into
killies and demonstrate what killie keepers are like, then you can get them
into putting out the effort to take a trip.
