Chlorine and chloramines, in amounts used for urbanized areas will not
injure ones daphnia. l have maintained Moina for almost twenty years with
untreated tap water and can assure you it works well outdoors in the
sunlight making green w ater. Amquel will KILL all crustacea as it breaks
down into a product similar to formaldehyde. Do not neutralize your city
water if you wish to raise aphnia. Daphnids are great live food..
