Re: [Killietalk] A. elberti Ntui

Bill's message reminded me of something - I had several elberti Diang pairs
that never had eggs in the mop when I got home from work, but that were
generous if I checked within an hour of the lights coming on in the morning.
I also had a pair that would spawn around noon and eat the eggs by supper
time - I broke them up, combined them with others and they became morning
spawners too.

I also had great success with elberti when they were kept in dark tanks,
with just enough light for me to see if they were alive. I don't think they
got to their eggs in those tanks.

At one point, I tried them in 15 gallon tanks in spawning groups, in the
hopes of pulling fry, not eggs. It worked in tanks with coarse gravel.

Happy New Year to all.
