I tried milled sphagnum moss and still have most of the bag because the fish 
did not spawn in it. Different strokes for different folks. If you want to 
keep peat moss in the container use a 2 liter plastic soda bottle with 7-8 
marbles to weight it down and cut a doorway about 6 inches up for the fish to enter 
-- it really works pretty well. Except the fish still spawn on the almost bare 
bottom of the tank as well as in the peat bottle.
