I don't know about the fish you have, but when you have a location but no
code, things can happen. That's a variable species and the location isn't
really precise. I think there have been a couple of importations from Ijebu
Ode, but I don't know if they came from the same spot. For example, I've
seen 3 or 4 commercial importations of biteniatum labelled as Lagos - all
had the same colouration but one had long sabre fins, while another was a
much shorter finned form (the other 2 were identical, a moderately
long-finned form). The same could easily have occured at Ijebu Ode.
More than likely, Karl is right...
