[Killietalk] Auction prices

On the BKA newsgroup we are talking over prices at auctions & helping 
breeders out. Do the AKA auctions set a start price at auction?
How cheap would you sell your fish? Breeders should get a good return. In 
the UK we are faced with crazy increases in fuel prices making fish house 
heating costs go through the roof.
How do you balance a price for fish in keeping & attracting membership?
A point has to be reached where keeping a fish house becomes too expensive. 
This is not good for any of us.
In the US you have basement fish houses but usually in the UK we build sheds 
in the garden & lay power down to them.
Obviously the answer is breed fish & sell surplus fish/eggs to pay costs. 
This forces people to breed fish & help in conservation. Right........
