[Killietalk] Downloadable roster

Hi everyone,

It is my pleasure to be able to announce a new service for AKA members 
on the web site, namely the ability to download the current roster of 
members. The membership of the AKA changes frequently due to new members 
joining, etc. This service will allow you to get the roster as it stands 
on any particular day. Note that this service is available only to AKA 
members.

To download the roster, log on to the site as a member, choose The 
People in the left panel, then Download Roster. A dialog box will 
appear, allowing you to save the file to your local machine. This file 
is a CSV file that can be opened or imported into Excel or other 
spreadsheet programs, or into a database program like Access. From Excel 
you can save and/or print the file in PDF format. You could even upload 
the file into your PDA, if you use one. By default the roster is sorted 
by last name, but you can re-sort it once you have imported it.

We hope that this will be a useful service to members. It overcomes the 
difficulties associated with paper rosters being outdated more or less 
before they appear in print.
