Richard,

The problem with that is that /Vesicularia dubyana/ (Singapore Moss)
really is a true moss, as is Java Moss (Taxiphyllum barbieri). [We have
been calling it by the wrong Latin name for so long, it will be a long
while before some of us old fogeys will be willing to make the change.]
Neither of them can bloom, and the sporophytes that the Java Moss should
produce are so rare that one of the world's leading bryologists has only
seen them once, from a specimen from Vietnam. If you have Java Moss
producing the sporophytes, get it to a good university bryologist as
fast as possible.
