[Killietalk] ARK November 2006 Meeting

The next monthly meeting of the Arizona Rivulin Keepers will be on Saturday, 
November 11th.  We will gather at Denny's Restaurant in Tempe, just south of 
SR60 on Roral Road (check http:/ark.aka.org for directions).  If you can 
attend and want to buy dinner, join us at 6 PM; otherwise plan to arrive 
between 6:30-7.  Meetings are free and we always appreciate visitors.

Besides a raffle and trade table, we will have a special program.  Charles 
Clapsaddle of Goliad Farms (fish hatchery) in Texas will talk about the 
trials and tribulations of running a tropical fish hatchery; complete with 
photos from the construction of one of their greenhouses.  He is also 
including a discussion of their intensive culture techniques. For example, 
they now can maintain over 300 4-6" cichlids in 45 gallons of water while 
getting faster than normal growth (fry to 6" in 6 months). This should make 
for an exceptional presentation!

If you can join us, we'd love to meet you.  AND the weather is usually very 
nice this time of year in Phoenix.
