Re: [Killietalk] Annual Fundulopanchax
Hi Wright;
Is there maybe a diapause difference that "defines" annual. I have had
annuals like S whitei and N korthause live several years. Many ponds receed
but do not completely dry out so not all annuals die out every year even in
their natural enviroment I would think. I can't say if all Fp cannot stand
as dry a peat as many annuals seem to prefer but some do seem to prefer over
2 months dry time and many annuals only 3 months so that alone should not be
a deciding factor. I think sometimes people try very hard to categorize
where there is no real clear basis for a category. Any thoughts on the
diapause stages being a defining factor?
