I did have problems with killietalk and another mailing list, which
turned out to be on my end.

My campus servers sometimes would send my e-mails out as
xxxx at kids_wustl.edu and other times it would look like xxxxx at wustl_edu,
even though it was from the same account. The mailing lists would
accept the xxxx at _kids.wustl.edu, but not the xxxx at wustl_edu.

Our campus computer support people told me the switch was automatic,
random, and uncontrollable, so got a personal ISP with a paid e-mail
account, and things have been quite smooth ever since.
