I had best luck with Stuhlmanni when i raised them in a tank sitting in
front of the window.... i allowed algae to grow very thick on the back
wall and 2 side walls and only kept the front glass clean to see into
the tank.   I also raised them with 2 different types of Caulerpa
growing in their tank, this and with 3 large mops, i had plenty of
different sized fish in the tank, didnt worry about the fry as they fed
off the algae and hid in the plants.  Parents didnt even bother the
fry.... great tank.
At the First morning light, the fish would display and look
incredible... i had alot of fun raising those fish.
