Re: [Killietalk] F. diapanous

I have a favorite spot for collecting daphnia in the spring and early
summer. This year was very dry and the inlet and outlet to the pool dried
up. The large carp died and a green scum covered the whole pond.

By the middle of the summer the pool filled up with young Fundulus
diaphanous which are now about 1 ½ to 2 inches long. If anyone is
interested, I could probably mail six of them by Priority Mail to anyone
who is interested for $10.00.

These aren't much to look at, but some people find them interesting. These
particular fish come from a North Dakota/Minnesota watershed that doesn't
have an outlet to either ocean.
