Ken,

I am not familiar with either of those products.  I am aware that hornwort 
is know to produce chemicals that inhibit algea.  If you wish to add 
something to your tank, try Seachem Flourish Excel.  It will kill your hair 
algae when dosed appropriately and will not harm your fish or plants.  You 
can read some interesting threads about it use on the forums at 
plantedtank.net
