Like anything else, demand is crucial to getting your price.   In killie 
club auctions your fish has to be appealing to two or more people or it 
doesn't bring top dollar.   If you bring what everybody else brings, don't 
complain about not getting a high price!

I really enjoyed the early years of the South American Annual Yahoo Group 
when we traded species rather than buy and sell.   But even then I had 
hobbyists contact me with nothing to trade, so I sent them eggs anyway with 
the undertanding that perhaps one day they could return the favor either to 
me or another hobbyist.

The best feeling is in giving a young hobbyists some fish!
