Re: [Killietalk] Tissue Culture plates for incubating eggs
Hello Christine,
I was looking for a good tray/vessel/dish to incubate eggs. After many
tries, i settled on a "Tissue Culture multi-well plate" with 24 flat
bottom wells (1.7 x 1.6 cm).
They can be purchased in laboratory stores. This particular well plate
is produced by Flow Laboratories, McLean, Va.
I place 1 egg into each plate well. Sometimes two eggs into 1 well.
When the fry hatch, they are easily transferred to 2.0 cm high Petri
dishes, and from there they go into grow-out containers.
Best,
George
