IMHO the meetings of the affiliates are as friendly and helpful as the
mailing list is strident and unhappy. Get to a meeting and commingle with
the other killie folk, you'll be happy you did!

It's my regret that geography makes it reasonable to belong to only two
affiliates!

John,

I suggest that you join the AKA, attend some affiliate club meetings, or 
even better, the convention, talk to lots of members and then form your 
opinions regarding the character of the members and the organization, 
and whether most members are happy with it. That would be better than 
basing your opinions on postings from a very limited number of people.
