I use apple snails. I really like their appearance and they do a
wonderful job in my tanks without overpopulating. I haven't tried
ramshorns yet.

        I have used Cory pygmaeus and hastatus with killi, cichlid and
betta fry in the past. I am in the market for some hastatus now. I'm
going to take a trip to some larger fish shops in Maryland in the next
week looking for them. Right now I have some full grown (1.5") Cory
habrosus in with kerri tetra young that are about 3/8" in length and
they are doing fine. The three cories I have listed are some of the
smaller ones. I have never tried paleatus or any of the mid-sized
cories.
        I also use ramshorn and small pond snails in my shoeboxes of
killi fry. It is amazing how they can keep a shoebox clean.
